Excellent 4 Bedroom House in Province of Leon Spain
Euroresales Property iD – 9824436
A solid built house in need of some attention.
The house is located in the tiny, tranquil village of La Granja de San Vicente in the province of Leon in northern Spain. it’s close to Ponferrada, the Camino de Santiago, Astorga and Las Medulas Roman mines.
The house stands at the top of a hill, with magnificent views of the valley. There’s a train stop close by linking the village with the surrounding cities. it’s also close to the main highway to Madrid and Coruna.
it’s a 3-storey stone house built in 1927. it has two independent entrances; one on the ground floor and one on the second floor which is reached by a small bridge. There is no internal staircase connecting the ground and first floor.
The house needs some restorative and decorative work but is liveable as it stands now. it has had new electrics and replacement double glazing wooden windows, replicating the originals. it has had a new wooden front door fitted downstairs and the one for upstairs is there but not fitted.
in both the upstairs and downstairs kitchens there is a traditional wood burning oven. Upstairs it has the original wooden floorboards. The attic is reached by a small staircase and is another usable living space.
Each of the 3 floors is 61m2. There are 3 outside buildings for storage. Outdoor space measures 82.5m2 (The land at the back of the house is owned by locals and would probably be available to buy.)
The house has some furniture in it (beds, wardrobe, washing machine, dryer, table, chairs) and some material for the refurbishment which we didn’t have time to fit (sink, shower plate, window and door).
